J Pod, one of our Southern Resident Pods is vocalizing on the Lime Kiln Hydrophone right now!! The hydrophone is located mid way up the west side of San Juan Island. Some fainter S1 calls right now. Listen for the whales at www.OrcaSound.net.

We had reports of Orca Whales off Sooke B.C. this morning. They were later identified as J Pod.

A few boats got out to see them today!!

How You Can Help

Every one of us can make a difference. Pollution and lack of suitable food are the major factors that are threatening the Southern Resident Orca Whales.

Cleaning up the environment in which they live will not only promote their survival, but will benefit the entire ecosystem. There are many ways that you can help, and we hope that you do.
