Descriptions

Adventure awaits you in the beautiful San Juan Islands. Join Western Prince Whale & Wildlife Tours as we explore the protected waters of the Salish Sea and discover the islands' abundant wildlife and spectacular beauty. Our skilled local naturalists enjoy sharing their experience and knowledge of the marine life of the San Juan Islands. We have earned a reputation for providing a high quality tour that is both educational and fun while being very respectful of the wonderful animals we encounter.

We offer two of the best boats around. The 46' "Western Prince" twin-diesel custom tour vessel is large enough for safety and comfort, yet small enough (32 passengers or less) for a more interactive trip with the crew, the wildlife and other guests. Your afternoon on the Western Prince will be comfortable regardless of weather. The main seating area is covered, has cushioned seating and may be enclosed if the weather dictates. Snacks & beverages available. The 27' "Western Explorer" rigid hull inflatable is similar to boats used by the US Coast Guard for search and rescue. It provides a unique expedition style experience, with anti-exposure suits for all passengers, 30 knot cruise speed, and a skilled captain and naturalist sharing their knowledge about the islands, ecosystem, and amazing whales and marine wildlife. Limited to 15 passengers or less.

How You Can Help

Every one of us can make a difference. Pollution and lack of suitable food are the major factors that are threatening the Southern Resident Orca Whales.

Cleaning up the environment in which they live will not only promote their survival, but will benefit the entire ecosystem. There are many ways that you can help, and we hope that you do.
